i'm so pleased that it's been left there and not taken away with all the modernization of the area. been there a long time and brings back memories of driving down to the beach in my old V8.

This is a real focal point of the Scarborough Beach development (which is really impressively done). I’m sure that it’s often used as a place to meet people. I hope my photos do it justice.

I hated it when it was first erected, but it has been here for that long now it is part of the scenery. It is to depicts 105 years of European settlement. You can't miss it if you visit Scarborough.
