A brief history of another British hero. Great for children, as you are encouraged to pick up and handle all sorts of artifacts. Go on, you know you like opening other peoples cupboards.

As it was Easter there were various activities and baking going on which just added to the marvelous atmosphere in this old home. I went as a side stop on my way to Chartwell and am happy I made the effort. Through all my years...More

Lovely house currently clad in scaffolding and netting. Childhood home of General Wolfe furnished by the National Trust with items of the period. Only one piece, his campaign chest, belonged to the General. Excellent exhibition showing the action of this forgotten hero, whose victory at...More

Always lovely to discover something you didn't know about! Stopped off at Quebec House before going onto Chartwell and so pleased I did. A small but utterly charming family home of General James Wolfe - on the first floor of the coach house you can...More

we were only recently at the Plains of Abraham (and Montmorency Falls) so this was doubly fascinating. Wolfe has become a crush of mine. Nice family house, right in the village really.

Situated on a bend of the A25 between Westerham and Brasted and almost hidden by a brick wall from the road, this is an imposing house. There is a large tiered car park nearby. The former home of General Wolfe of Quebec fame, it seems...More

Knowing nothing about General Wolfe I had been a bit put off visiting this property even though we live nearby and are NT members. However, it was both a lovely house and fascinating story of the General - definitely do view the exhibition in the...More

We went to Quebec House on the way back from Chartwell and although it’s a lot smaller than Chartwell it’s definitely worth a visit. I knew nothing about the Battle of Quebec or General Wolfe before our visit so it was fascinating to learn more...More

It’s always difficult to write a less than perfect review but Quebec House is a lovely place if you are an aficionado of General Wolfe and the Battle of Quebec but not overly exciting otherwise. The volunteers though are very enthusiastic and really happy to...More
