Had a great day out visiting this fabulous historical house, that is set in the equally historical town of Westerham, Kent. The historical artefacts associated with General James Wolfe and his life, were well represented, in telling the story of his famous life. The house...More

I knew next to nothing about Quebec House and Major General Wolfe. I knew he had a connection with Quebec in Canada. We went on a guided tour (you need to check times when these are available, but I think between 1200 and 1230). Quebec...More

Small elegant Georgian manor house. Half a dozen furnished rooms to see with some interesting history. "Gardens" are barely more than a postage stamp. "Cafe" consists of 2 tables in ticket office. Much more entertaining to take 3 minute walk from house to lovely quaint...More

I came here today after visiting Chartwell and enjoyed the quick walk around. I didn't have the free tour but the placards and docents in the rooms are helpful enough. I wouldn't make a special trip to come here but glad I twinned it with...More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your recent visit to Quebec House. Apart from Chartwell combining a visit to Emmetts Garden would also be a possibility.

The nearest car park is the Westerham village car park, which is about a 3 minute walk away and provides free parking for 3 hours, (a ticket still has to be obtained though). The ticket office has a small exhibit about General Wolfe and the...More

Nicely preserved historic home, with much to teach about the key battle that won Canada for the British, as this was the home of General Wolfe who commanded the British forces. The home is very nicely displayed, with interesting hands-on activities in most rooms that...More
