Around 1000 the first church from the 7th or 8th century was demolished and a church in early Romanesque architecture was built on the same site that still stands near the castle. In the 20th century, some restorations were done to the castle church. Too bad we were late and we couldn't admire the church inside.

In the castle park there is a small Romanesque church with three naves dating back more than 1000 years, inside there is a pre-Roman crypt. Unfortunately, we could not visit the interior because a wedding was underway.
