Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located in a breathtaking scenery on the lake Thunersee, this castle offers wonderful halls rich in history and precious items like carved doors, antique books, interesting portraits and an elegant timeless atmosphere. It is absolutely stunning inside and outside.
Plus the staff is super kind and prepared on all your questions concerning this fairytale place

located down to the lake when arriving by train, it still lays on a little hill above the shore of the lake with its restaurants and leisure areas. there is a restaurant in the castle, and there are some good panorama views on the lake and the surrounding mountains. a pleasant place to spend some time.

I am taking our out of town visitors here all the time. Great garden and park area, lovely view of the lake and an interesting castle to visit, rain or shine, cold or warm period of the year.

This castle is not the biggest in Europe. But inside there is a good museum to cover the history around that area with many exhibits that include furniture with hundreds of years. It is worthwhile to spend a few hours for those interested in the life in castle and the associated history.

A smaller castle in town Spiez on Lake Thun. Quiet place. Surrounding is very nice and pieceful. I came to the castle by train from Thun and there is also a boat that travels around Lake Thun, so it stops at Spiez station, from where you can go to the castle.

A cute smaller Castle on a land point on the lake. Great views of the mountains and lake from the property. A small church is also on the property. Pay to park but not far to walk. Worth the visit.

A magnificent place with superb land escape. The way up from Spiez see is easy and the view from the garden of the castle is fantastic to see lake Thun and Spiez town.

This is a small but fun castle. We arrived by boat. It is a 5-10min walk uphill to the castle entrance. You get a discount with the interlaken guest card.
There are some traditional displays about local history and the castle on the first couple of floors.
There is a virtual reality activity which allows you to "tour" the castle and grounds.
Then you can climb the tower. Apart from the amazing 360° views, there are lots of fun activities in the tower: dressing up, writing with quill and ink, trying on chain mail and armour, and practising jousting on a wooden horse!
There is a small cafe by the entrance (but we had ice cream at the cafe by the boat landing stage). There is also a church in the castle grounds which is very pretty.
Well worth a visit.
