Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful place, just a little harder to find in Son Severa. We were in the church area in the morning and we were completely alone, we enjoyed it a lot. We definitely recommend not to miss this place when visiting Mallorca.

Son Severa have a massive market on every Friday morning, but a lot of people may not realise that if you turn up one of the streets and walk for about a minute, there stands this church. It has beautiful architecture dating back many many years. The entrance has the usual description of the creators, builders etc. There is also a donation box to help keep the church maintained. Please be aware that you DON'T have to leave a donation to go into the grounds. With the morning sun shining down on the church and the history surrounding it, it is worth the few minutes to have a look around it. Whether you're into that kind of stuff or not, it is worth a look at the Spanish of old.

I visited son servera market and was told about this unfinished church so had to take a look.
It did not disappoint. It was stunning, especially on a gloriously sunning day.
Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Son Severa is a quiet village about 10 mins taxi from Sentido Pula Suites. One Saturday morning, we managed to lift ourselves from the sunbed and took the taxi. As we alighted, a local woman pointed up a little street and said 'unfinished church'! We followed and were bowled over by this open nave church - surrounding brickwork in tact, but the nave was complete open. Throughly loved it!

After looking at the map and thinking this was in Cala Millor (as the map shows) we realised it was a different town so we got a taxi (€6) to Son Servera. The unfinished church is very pretty but I think we thought there would be more to see, I don't think you would spend more than 30mins here maximum. However the town is quite pretty, traditional Spanish houses and streets, lovely to walk around on a sunny day. There's a nice square where there are bars, cafes and shops so you can relax and enjoy your time.
If you do go, I would highly recommend walking further up the street (where the entrance to Iglesia Nueva is) and follow the signs to the cemetery. It's a bit of a hill and about a 20 minute walk but the views are definitely worth it!
Remember to get a taxi number to phone to get a taxi back, we found the bus times a little sporadic so didn't use them (we visited during Easter).

Beautiful artwork. Not easy to find. Opening hours were not to be found so we encountered closed doors.
Doors are gates so we could see the church but unfortunately didn't visit the inside.
Apparently opening hours are every morning.
Church services held in the evening on special occasion.

It is a very small and lovely church without a roof. It has a very special atmosphere. It is a very nice stop if you are nearby. The architect was a student of Gaudi.

I walked from our resort just to take a look at this incomplete church, and it was definitely worth it. A creation of one of Gaudi's contemporaries it also has that in common with the great unfinished cathedral in Barcelona. The fact that it is incomplete is its unique selling point. It wont take very long to look around but take that time to relax and drink it in, and take some photos.

Could the adress be wrong? I never found it even though I used the map on my iPhone. I talked to a man who said it was 2-3 km away… 🤷🏼♀️

How can we book the church for our wedding please
Written 17 September 2019
Hi,
What are the opening hours to this beautiful church? We are going to Mallorca tomorrow and would like to visit Tuesday morning but don’t want the wasted journey if it’s closed? I can’t find opening times anywhere?
Written 28 July 2019
We also couldn't find the opening times either, but coincided our visit with the market, and it was open. There is a helpful tourist information in Cala Bona or Cala Millor.

Does anyone know if you can marry here if you are not catholic? We would love to have the blessing here but we are not catholic? Thank you.
Written 8 August 2018
The wedding service we took part in in May this year (2018) was held by an Evangelical Lutheran pastor. He was a german serving german speaking communities on Mallorca in a chaplaincy-type role for parts of the year. (the couple was from Germany)
So I reckon it might work. I can't remember just how or who you ask to use the space, but the local catholic chuch might well be a good place to start.
