We went to Serra do Pilar on our first night and it really offered awesome views of itself and its multiple cave like lighted arches. We returned in the morning and from it we enjoyed stunning views of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.

This place is very easily missed because of the walk up hill that may make it unattractive to some. Really it should not be missed, it is just superb. Beautiful views of the river and of Porto and Gaia.
