lovely bridge with great views from both sides. Ideally you walk on the upper part for the bridge. There is a cable car which takes you to the lower part

This place is very easily missed because of the walk up hill that may make it unattractive to some. Really it should not be missed, it is just superb. Beautiful views of the river and of Porto and Gaia.

It is quite a climb but the view especially at sunset was worth it. The best view of the river and bridges and part of the city.

Part of our private Tuk Tuk tour, the views from Serra do Pilar are amazing. Backdropped by a monastery, the location is serene and was not overrun w/ tourists (probably the walk up). If you can get here, it is worth the bird's eye view...More

It is a walk uphill to get to this overview point above the bridge, but provides a great picture point of the river and old city. Don't think about going in to see the old cannons, it's an operational military base.

This is a great place to watch a sunset. It is bit of a hike but worth the effort. There is a tram that you can take that gets you most of the way there.
