The Poseidon Thermal Gardens, unique in the world, are situated on the island of Ischia (in the Gulf of Naples) in the beautiful bay of Citara, and know in ancient roman times for their hot waters. A complex of 20 pools with different temperature from 28 to 40 degrees and filled with hot underground thermal water. The hot springs are of volcanic origin and are particularly indicated for orthopedic ailments and breathing problems. They have also a regenerating effect on the skin against stress and aging. In the medical and beauty Center there is a team of professional that take care of your needs using advance medical and beauty treatments. Poseidon sits in an ecological environment where relax and rest are in synergy with the sea, the sun and the thermal waters. The park is open from Easter to October 31st.

The place is beautiful, but the price is very high and you don't even get the lockers included in the price. The pools are numerous, but I expected more diversity. Nice to visit, but next time I'd rather go to different hot baths

This was such a relaxing afternoon for our family. We went here as part of a tour and the only thing we wished was that we had more time to spend here. The views are beautiful and the waters are great. Highly recommend!

Poseidon is simply a beautiful place. The landscape is gorgeous, there’s plenty of different thermal pools to enjoy, and the beach is really nice as well. I didn’t think I would love it here as much as I did. I thought it was better than...More

You could spend easily a full day here. Rent towels from reception, they have lockers too. The pools are great, especially the one with 2 parts - one hot and one cold. The sauna is different as well, natural sauna in a cave. You have...More

A very relaxing restorative day; the staff were very courteous and helpful. Despite an inauspicious start with one public bus breaking down and the second catching fire; meaning we had to walk the last mile; we we ended the day completely chilled and relaxed. Bodies...More

A little gem in Ischia, tucked in between the mountains and the sea. Large choice of swimming pools, whether hot or cold. The place is really clean and the gardens are beautiful! The food at the café/restaurant was good with mostly healthy choices.

You must go! Huge and beautiful!!! Great experience! Ladies must bring a swim cap- even a shower cap is fine. If you do not bring one you must purchase. (Only two euros)

We visited the thermal park for one day. The location is absolutely lovely, embedded in green, and by the sea and mountain side. There were around 30 thermal pools, and none felt crowded. There were also many nice spots to relax, both in- and outdoors....More

You can get a hydrofoil to Forio from Beverello, then get the bus or a taxi to the gardens which are just on the other side of town - possibly less stressful than from ischia port. Taxis are generally €15 minimum.

It's about a half an hour drive from the port when you get the ferry. We did everything via minivan so I don't know what public transport is like to get there

When my wife and I were there I was in fairly traditional American swim trunks and no issues. Yes on the bathing caps. I think I may have seen a ball cap on a guy?
