I love Visconti but not keen on this visit. The house was an empty shell without showing what his life had been like, it just displays hundreds of photos which I could just as easily have seen in a book. The video was in Italian...More

loved the setting of the villa and the incredible views from every window....however.........setup and entry are unorganized and items in the villa are poorly placed.......a bit confusing but the visit and phots of Luchino Visconti are interesting and worthwhile. Ticket is approximately 7 euros.

There are few, if any, signs to La Colombaia but it was well worth the effort albeit on foot in temperatures of 35C. The views along the lane are stunning and matched by the panorama from all sides of the villa. The photo gallery of...More
