Disappointing visit due to lack of information available. Signage was non existent and we were left wondering what everything was.

We walked to the Villa Romana in Minori from our nearby hotel of the same name. It is about a city block square, excavated down from the modern town. The site was a seafront villa, with a large central garden and pool, surrounded by rooms....More

This gem of a site reminded me a lot of ruins I have seen in Israel and Greece. The entry is free and you can ask for the information in English.

Don't expect a huge, well-preserved villa, because this is an excavation, sited adjacent to hotels. It is very interesting, revealing part of the history of Minori and giving an insight into the way of life hundreds of years ago. Free entry is a bonus for...More

Well worth a visit. Free entry and interesting place in the middle of Minori. We accidentally stumbled on the attraction while walking the 1500 steps from Ravello to Minori. Glad we visited

It's not Pompeii. It's not Ercolano. It's not Paestum. It is though a wonderful example of a Roman Villa. In Roman times, Minori was the spot on the coast, the elite chose to have an elegant summer residence. Entrance is free and the Villa is...More

The ancient villa still keep the beauty of the architectural Roma style. The story of the villa is even more impressive, because the place was a summer residence of fun and pleasure. If you are in Minori you must visit it. And yes, there is...More

Open from memory 10am. It's not that big but is interesting. There was nothing in English that I remember but I did work out what the items were. worth a visit and then a coffee or lunch locally. Have fun.
