One of the best walks around the island. Day or night this place is magical. I really liked the architecture and than medieval feeling you get when walking around its walls.

Located on top of town this former Venetian stronghold has been integrated into the fabric of the city so much that it no longer stands apart from private dwellings. The castle itself isnt all that special if you've seen castles before.Free to see for the...More

This Fort was Build by the Venetians in Order to Defend the Island from the Turks. The very narrow streets Leading to the top of the Castlle Are Full of Merchants Selling All Kinds of Craft. Very Interesting Place to Visit.

Interesting history lesson. Lots of information about who built it what it was used for etc... Just plain beautiful. The mosaic in the back is stunning.

This castle is surrounded by streets and homes so its hard to ever really get a good view of it. You basically walk all around the outside. Its worth the couple hours you spend walking to it and around it. We did pay the few...More

Although there is not a great deal left untouched of the old castle of kastro, it stands out in views from all over the island, brooding over Chora town. Some parts of the towers are recognisable, but the maze of narrow alleys leading up to...More

The Kastro is located right into town and is worth walking around and exploring, in our opinion. We paid the couple euro to get into the museum. There was information in English but it didn't take more than 20 minutes to see everything. We came...More

There are many boats to visit Naxos Island. Of course from Santorini port you can arrive into 3 hours with blue star ferries.
