- Dunja TBasel, Switzerland2 contributionsFantastic experience for kids up to 12 years oldLegoland is a great amusement park for kids up to 12 years old. For older kids I don’t think that is too much fun. We went with our 4 years old and 8 years old and they both loved it. With small one we had to go on rides but older one could go by herself to the most of them. Only 5 or 6 rides required height over 130cm which she doesn’t have still. There are a lot of playgrounds if you want to take a break from rides, lot of restaurants and Lego miniatures are a highlight of the whole experience. We stayed in Pirates island hotel and it is fantastic for kids ,also I think that two days are enough to enjoy everything that Legoland has to offer. We came during work days and it was not very crowded but still for the most popular rides you have to wait between 40-60 min so I recommend express pass if you can fit that in your budget. We will come back for sure! Lot of shops available but prices are very high, offer of Lego sets is remarkable but prices are higher than in toy stores even in Switzerland.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 7 October 2023

We were just there for the winter openings, which was lovely, although a lot of the attractions were closed we knew this in advance. The lady working there was also really nice. There was also plenty of toilet facilities and family bathrooms. One big downside is the lack of healthy food options and I know people at theme parks aren’t looking for gourmet food but if you are there for a few days as we were it would be nice to have some healthy options to throw in the mix. Also there is no milk alternatives offered anywhere in the park or hotel which was very disappointing. The “shows” offered for the winter experience were lacking big time. The ice show was just a woman skating around to music, while she was really good it wasn’t much for children. We also learned they will start charging for children as young as 3 which is ridiculous as there is nothing they can go on besides the train and maybe the planes!Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 4 January 2024
- expateurotravelerBasel, Switzerland156 contributionsGreat for smaller kids!We visited LEGOLAND Germany during the Easter break and it was overall pretty okay. Because the theme park closer to us is really top, it’s hard not to make some comparisons on what could be better. What we liked was that the park is pretty small, and very walkable for the kids. But the park is rather small, and in my opinion, geared for kids under 10. There are 3 roller coasters and the wait times for these were long, about 50-60 minutes. As it was a holiday weekend, the wait times for most rides hovered around 40-60 minutes… so maybe consider the express pass if you go on a busy weekend. We didn’t take it because we were there for 2 days, and it feels really expensive when you add the express pass on top of the normal ticket price. The park does not run on efficiency, and that was probably one really frustrating part. Sometimes the rides were really slow to load, and the poor person at the pasta station was alone, during the lunch rush. I think the park could use a few more staff during these holiday weekends to deal with the surge in visitors. It would help the operators if they didn’t have to do all the safety checks themselves, and operate the ride. It would also help in efficiently running the rides and total turnover of rides per hour. One thing we noticed was that the wait times in the app and at the ride are totally off. Some rides said a wait time of 10 minutes and we ended up waiting 40. Sometimes it said 40 minutes and we got lucky and breezed through with a 15 minute wait. I am not at all sure where the data is coming from, but an updated system of accurate wait times would be much better. The kids really enjoyed their time and so for us it was a successful visit. But LEGOLAND Germany has a lot of potential and room for improvement!Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 30 March 2024
- K. CarterCounty Kildare, Ireland35 contributionsLegotastic!!Legoland Germany is a fantastic experience. We spent 3 days in the park. Plenty to do for all ages. Ride heights range from 90-110cm. Staff are diligent but not many speak English. Quite expensive for basics, water is €4.50 (€1.80 outside the park) Our 7 year old couldn't do the driving school as the class is only taught in German. English speaking children must he able to read the support card (found the German staff member very rude. She laughed to another staff member when my son didn't read to her standard) Park can easily be done in a day or two. The lego outlet and the shop at the lego factory are great value. Our kids loved the minifigure shop and the smaller ninjago build a figure. The large lego shop has lots of sets not readily available in ireland, so our kids loved it!Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 8 June 2024
- IngridHouten, The Netherlands55 contributionsGreat theme parkGreat theme park for young and old. Good rides, plenty of food options. If you want to do all rides, one day is not enough. The only thing that we didn't like is that people are smoking everywhere, not just in the designated areas.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 26 July 2024
- Ebrahim AlqahtaniDoha, Qatar4 contributionsGreat fun for the kids. Our kids had a fantastic time at Legoland! We highly recommend booking online and in advance, as it’s much cheaper. Our only concern was the park's closing time. It would be great if the park extended its hours by an hour or two during the long summer days.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 7 August 2024
- Diaconeasa VBucharest, Romania2 contributionsA bit disapointing experience! It was a nice experience overall. But the waiting times for the rides (20-50mn) made the experience a little bit disapointing. Maybe they should consider to put a limit on the number pf people per day. Food is not tasty but if you are very hungry is probably ok!Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 8 August 2024

We have visited Legoland on 31st May.
We went with Camper (WoMo). Normally we wanted to stay in Legoland campingplatz but we realized that original campingplatz is closed(I guess cause of Corona) and they are offering small campingplatz 20minute away. So we decided to buy daily ticket.
When we arrived we see that camper parkingplatz is closed and we drive in to normal parkplatz from a narrow door. This was not a big problem. But when we entered the Legoland we realized that many of the activities are closed also because of Corona.
We pay around 40€ ×3 =120€ but couldnt get benefit from all activities.
At the end of the day we wanted to buy lego for my son but again cause of Corona there was a huge que and we couldnt suceed to go inside the shopping.(as you know limited people alowed )
I really apperiate that Legoland did a good job.
Social distance while waiting for acitivities are well managed.
Everywhere is fullfilled with disinfectant
If needed they are also giving masks before activities.
Nevertheless I couldnt enjoy it.
So I propose to go in a normal time instead of Corona days

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your positive feedback about our current measures.
We understand that you were not able to enjoy the park to its fullest, however, the attractions which are closed are closed due to offical regulations and the price is a reduced price compared to the normal price at site.
We hope that you experienced some memorable moments together with your family and hope to be able to welcome you again in future.
Kind regards,
Your LEGOLAND Team

We spent a day in Legoland during a recent trip to Munich. It rained all day but we made the most of it! My children are 6 and 9- these are ideal ages for this theme park. We had visited Legoland in Orlando last year and this park appeared to be smaller in size and the rides are older with the technology lagging behind.
Having said that, it is a lovely park and my children had a great time on the different rides. We purchased the Gourmet food voucher for €79.99 in advance - this gave us four main meals in Stars restaurant, 4 drinks, 2 candyfloss, 4 ice creams and 2 hot drinks. It was really excellent value as the adults enjoyed lovely steak dinners (Much nicer than usual theme park food).
We visited the Magic show and while the performer and show was great fun for the children, he did make a few jokes at the expense of English speaking guests that could make some people uncomfortable.
We didn't make purchases in the gift stores as the Lego sets were more expensive here than in toy shops at home.
We went on Sunday & closing time was listed as 7pm. At exactly 6pm, all rides closed down. It seemed ridiculous to close 1hr before the park closing time as it isn't a huge place!
Overall, it is a lovely, fun, well run park that will keep the kids entertained all day.

Big park, with many fun attractions but waiting time up to 60 minutes and many rides were closed, which is really rather cheeky. You spend the whole day there, in line that is, and therefore only have time to try half of the rides. Even the bathrooms were too crowded (no Fasttrack passes available on weekdays),
The whole place also looks rather dated, it’s like it was built in the 80’s with faded colours, and it’s totally missing charm.
All not great for the corporate image. Come on Lego you can do better than this!

We had previously been to the original Legoland in Denmark which was absolutely great.
Today we’ve been to Legoland Germany and it was mainly a disappointment. Wait times for the rides were too long. Why would anyone wait multiple times in a day 85, 60 or 45 minutes for just one ride? It’s a waste of life time. And sad and extremely boring for the kids. Ok top of that you have people jumping the queue who paid extra for an express pass. It’s actually sick… how to explain this to your child? „Sorry, daddy and mommy only had enough money for the normal ticket and don’t believe in jumping the queue. Other parents paid another 240 euros to jump the queue with their child.”
Food: The Asian restaurant was closed today…
None of the open restaurants or stalls had any vegan food. The menus also didn’t have labels for vegetarian or vegan items (if there were any). This is really last century…
The Lego miniature park was nice. That’s about it.
They just let too many people into the park for the small number of available rides and attractions.

We have visited Legoland recently with our kids. The attractions were fine and most of them were open. The kids enjoyed them. However, the staff was not always friendly and helpful. Sometimes they were even crying loudly at the guests. Also, we (and others) weren't allowed to stand in the Lego City shop queue even before 17:45. This was a big disappointment (not only) for our kids. Saw at least 3 kids crying there for this reason, hoping to get a nice Lego set after the day spent in the park. Why couldn't the shop be open for an additional hour to satisfy all customers leaving the park? I don't think we will come back anymore. It was not worth the money.

Too crowded during the holidays, 90 minutes waiting time in front of the rides. We were able to ride 4 attractions in 6.5 hours, then the children didn't want to queue any more and we went for ice cream (30 minutes waiting time) and to the playground, the entrance fee is definitely too high for that. They should limit the number of visitors and not let in as many visitors as possible out of greed. That was just disappointing and annoying. Never again during the holidays! You have bad-tempered children, nobody needs that.

The children still enjoyed it, especially the miniature part and the parade. However, the rides are not actually available during the summer holidays. At 11am (the park opens at 10am) the waiting times are already 90 minutes and that seems to be a rather optimistic estimate. And for only €80 extra on top of the €40 normal price you can avoid the queues, a bargain... We can't recommend it to anyone.

We have annual passes and I would not recommend it to anyone who travels just to see the park. The Miniland and the rides are obviously poorly maintained or not maintained at all. Rides regularly do not work and are out of service or at least out of service for a time. At least 50 percent of the buttons in Miniland no longer work. Long waiting times at the rides and sometimes the attractions are half empty. Prices in the park are completely overpriced. Annual pass holders are charged extra for the winter season. Unfortunately, it has to be said that it is more show than substance and you feel ripped off.

As a family of 4 we have been twice in the last 9 months, granted my baby is too young for it but our 4 year old absolutely loves it!
We were just there for the winter openings, which was lovely, although a lot of the attractions were closed we knew this in advance.
The staff were very friendly and I would say my favorite thing was the baby center where, as a breastfeeding mother, I could go and feed/change and hangout with my baby when she needed, they also sold baby food and supplies, it was really lovely and I appreciated this so much!
We also learned they will start charging for children as young as 3 which is ridiculous as there is nothing they can go on besides the train and maybe the planes!

We visited LEGOLAND Germany during the Easter break and it was overall pretty okay.
But LEGOLAND Germany has a lot of potential and room for improvement!
