Loved the walks along the medieval tours. There are three, and together they take about 3 hours. The walk around the wall was very different from the interior walk. We enjoyed them all.

We visited Senlis after spending half the day in Chantilly. We had a car and it was easy to get here from Chantilly. I know that lots of people take the train from Paris but for our family of four it was more efficient to...More

A great place to wile away a few hours walking round the old town and ramparts. There’s a medieval part with a circular road and a nice walk along the ramparts just a few hundred metres down the hill. Very French and very peaceful yet...More

On the way from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Chantilly, we stopped by the cathedral and spent an hour walking around the old city. Really nice and worth it.

Wonderful preserved city center with remainders of roman wall, medieval castle, local shops - mostly artisan. Worth a half-day visit.

We loved Senlis. We visited on a bustling Saturday afternoon with shoppers in full flow. The Cathedral is just wonderful but we loved the winding medieval streets, cobbled paths and roads and quirky shops and cafes. It just oozes character and history and having visited...More

We enjoyed strolling down the old cobbled Streets. There was a street market on that day (primarily aimed at the local résidents, not tourists) which added much charm and authenticity (and by the way some nice cheese and other local products) - a nice experience....More

At the 'corner' of three forests, Chantilly, Ermenonville and d'Halatte, Senlis is a really beautiful old town just a few miles from the A1 north of Paris, with cobbled streets, an ancient cathedral and an arresting history from the two world wars. It's difficult to...More
