Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I have been enjoying Virginia wineries since 1995. We have our favorites, of course, but it's fun to "taste" new places. We decided upon the white wine flight finding all six wines average. The vx2 had enough character to allow us to be polite and purchase three bottles. The tasting card priced this wine at $26.00. When I arrived home and checked my email receipt found I was charged $27.50 per bottle. Rappahannock Cellars looks to be a great party place, If you enjoy good wines look elsewhere and if you go check your bill before leaving.

Spent a little over an hour here. This place is huge. Started with a tasting, then enjoyed a cheese and cracker tray with a glass of wine on their roof top area. Service was excellent. We are not members yet but we were treated like VIP. Did not go to the distillery on the other side. That will be our next visit!

Spacious and nice white wined!
Local suggested to us to visit thiswinery and we were quite happy is there quite happy!
They have a nice air conditioned room 1st and 2nd story room and a nice roof top deck overlooking the vineyard. We ended up buying a bottle of white wine and really enjoyed it.
While Virginia wines we find we find our average to go to overall, we truly enjoy our time here because of the scenery and experience.
This is a nice rural area with low population and several wineries that are truly enjoyable to visit

We always enjoy visiting Rappahannock Cellars when ever we visit the area. In addition to their fantastic wine they now produce vodka, Gin and Brandy. All of the same high quality as their wine. In addition to the quality of their products, the staff always greats in a warm, friendly manner and are helpful.

Been here many times over the years and have watched the place grow to the current size, with various rooms for members, etc. The grounds are decent, great for dogs, families, etc…. especially on a beautiful, sunny day!
The wines are decent… they have a varied selection of wines. The staff is always very friendly an helpful.
Overall, it’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and would like wine. I definitely don’t consider this wine to be among the best (especially in the area with one of the top VA vineyards very close-by), but it’s pretty decent and the venue is nice and groups are welcomed here, where they might not be at the better wine locations.

Visited on a cold Saturday in February. Quickly greeted at the door to shuffled to a side room since we were not club members. Immediately felt looked down on. The wine club area has live music and nice seating, our tasting area did not. A rushed and cramped tasting that did nothing for us. Felt like they were trying to maximize the number of tastings sold at the expense of the guest experience. Our server was pleasant and friendly, had it not been for him we probably would have left after the first pour.

We have been members at Rappahannock Cellars for over 10 years. The wine and spirits are wonderful and made with care and detail. There are so many different areas to relax that are perfect for a quiet getaway or a family experience. We highly recommend the wine, atmosphere and the family feel!

One of the oldest wineries in Virginia. It's small and has a rather surprising offering of varietals. My favorite and one of Virginia's is Cabernet Franc, which they have two offerings. If you join their club you get 50% off of cases. The wine tasting was very pleasant and free courtesy of Glen Gordon Manor Inn just down the road. I highly recommend a tasting. There are some four other wineries in the area.

We absolutely enjoyed every minute at this winery from the tasting of the wines, friendliest of staff and gorgeous views of the Shenandoah Mountains in the fall.
This winery was very spaced out and even with private rooms for their members there was plenty of room to space out and relax. We chose the rooftop room and then followed the path out back to a pond and more seating out by a pond with a fountain and more amazing views!
Staff at both the winery and the distillery were outgoing and friendly which we love and they made us feel very welcome and appreciated as guests.

they advertise curbside delivery. I arrived. I notified them. 45 minutes later, zip, zilch, nada. There was more than enough time to get the order together and bring it out while I sat there. Didn't happen. I won't be back.

Rappahannock Cellars does welcome dogs outdoors, however state law prohibits dogs (other than guide/service animals) from entering the winery: this is actually a long-standing law that was only just recently clarified by the State / VA Dept. of Agriculture. Big lawn with picnic tables are available for outdoor seating + letting your four legged friends stretch their legs!
More details on the law about dogs can be found by searching Google for "virginia regulations on dogs in wineries"
