Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We love this children's museum. It's part of the Houston children's museum, and is therefore covered under that membership. We might never go back to the Houston location. Almost all of the same attractions as downtown location, just a slightly smaller scale. Convenient parking and a covered path to the door (awesome on rainy or hot days). My kids love it (ages 2, 4, and 6), and I usually drag them away after about 2 hours.

We were looking for a morning outing for our two grandsons (ages 7 and 9). This filled the bill very nicely. The first few rooms are full of interesting and interactive exhibits that were very suitable for the boys: from making a boomerang, to flipping cards, to "shooting hoops" with recyclable paper. Another room had a bunch of physics-demonstration experiments that were loads of fun: demonstrations of static electricity, pulleys, vacuum tubes, and on and on. We left wanting to come back again, so that is a good sign.
I found the ticket purchase thing (time entry) to be less than straightforward, but that could also be because I waited until the morning of our visit to make the booking...

This is a fantastic place to take your kids (or grand kids, as we did) on any day, but especially a rainy day. There is a lot for them to do, work on, paint, cook (make belief) and learn about science/math. Our grand daughter (4 yr old) wanted to go back several times. They give you a daily pass (you can go in and come out many times) or if you are a frequent visitor, buy a pass.

I went with my 4 and 7 year old girls. Relatively small, all activities branch off of one main passage with only one exit. So its easy to give kids free rein and monitor them from afar. As far as I know, there are only indoor activities. There are exhibits that would appeal to all age groups from face painting and crafting to pretend play to historically themed exhibits to playing with electricity, gears, pulleys and other mechanical play. Affordable. You can pay for admission and at the end of your day, if you decide to pay for a year's membership, go to the front, and they will deduct the money that you paid that day. free parking, but when I went, the parking lot was unpaved and was undergoing construction. cute place, but I live further away, so one visit was good for us for a while. But I would have gotten membership if I lived closer.

This place is AMAZING for younger kids (0-10). They have a toddler room for kids up to 3, which is enclosed and very safe. It has really lovely toys, games and activities in it. My daughter loves it so much we’d been 5/6 times and not even explored the rest of the center! The staff are continuously coming in and taking away the toys to be cleaned and replacing them with new ones which is reassuring.
Outside the toddler area is amazing too - they have a role play HEB, bank, vet, emergency services station, art station and model Mexican village.
The cost is reasonable but the annual pass is amazing value - we’ve more than made our money back. We go at least once a week and have done for the last 4 months and my daughter is showing no signs of getting bored with it so far!
The only downside is there is no cafe, despite this we spend hours in here every week. It’s brilliant!

A very impressive collection of play spaces designed to help children learn more about culture, economics, and physics. I accompany a number of small children here each spring, and have to be nearly dragged out of the facility, because the centers are so engaging and challenging.

We have had a membership here for the past three years so that we can take our grandchildren often. They love it! They also have great membership only events around the holidays. - trick or treating and pictures with Santa. It is always very clean and they change out some of the activities often.

My nephew loved it. The place is smaller than the Houston's Children Museum, but it is still very good. I enjoyed myself being in there explaining physics behind the activity that he ignored it all. : ) He is 2. Get the membership. I think it breaks even after 3 or 4 visits. If you have a child, this is a fun place to be and a great place to be in the Summer.

I love the Children's Museum in Houston but when you are short on travel time, Sugar Land's works. It is perfect for kids 8 and under and with only one exit, easy to watch the kids. It is a small museum and not what you might be used to if you have been to many around the U.S. The ticket prices are expensive for the adults when there is really nothing there for you to do but watch your children. We ended up buying the yearly tickets of 6 at $155.
