We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My twin brother Stephen and I were exploring around Salou Old Town were we chanced upon Iglesia Santa Maria Del Mar and what a great find.
Iglesia Santa Maria Del Mar ( Santa Maria De La Mer De Salou ) is the oldest church in Salou and dedicated to The Virgin Mary Of The Sea ,its beautiful to view, the most distinctive feature of the church is the bell tower, there's also some interesting statues here including a set of two statues called " Escultura Urbana Ball De Bastons plus a bust in honour of Fiodor Dostoyevski ,the famous Russian novelist, writer and journalist, its a great church to check out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Carrer De L'Esglesia.

Had visited this church before and looked forward to calling in again when close by. However on both occasions when I called, mid afternoon, it was closed. Hardly a great welcome to visitors !!!!

Horrendous treatment!
People are uneducated and extremely impolite.
Seem to still live in the stone age. Get a grip you old sods.

The church is very close to the port and the train station, you might want to include it after your walk on promenade and the port before hitting to the train station. It's working but there's very little info about the hours so proceed at your own risk and don't be disappointed if you can't get inside.

I walked a very long way to find I could only view this church from the outside 😔 not worth the walk as there was little information outside and I couldn't see anything through the glass because of the sun

Unfortunately it was closed for refurbishment while I was there, real shame as I would really have liked to see the inside.

Bothered to walk all the way down to the older part of Salou, only to find we could not get into the church, the building itself is ok, but expected it to b e set in a piazza or square etc not just down a side street. Cannot comment on the interior, but would not go out of my way just to see the church building.
