Lovely town to visit for a leg stretch on our way back to Calais. The Cathedral dominated the area and is well worth popping in to see the spectacular stained glass windows.

The Cathedral of Saint-Omer is a splendid structure which has benefitted from much careful restoration work in recent years. Nice little town only a short drive from Calais. Be careful of the strange hours for the parking charges. You pay for a few hours in the morning, then it is free for a few hours and then you pay again for a few in...More

We stayed at the Ibis hotel in the centre and walked to the cathedral. It is impressive and appears to be having a lot of restoration work. The stained glass windows were amazing. It was interesting.

By far one of the nicest cathedrals. The art and sculpture are amazing. What a beautiful place to pray, chill out , enjoy a bit of the past.

Churches are nice historical buildings, and the art is sometimes worth visiting. Here you can see a Rubens, so hop in and see for yourself!

A breathtaking Cathedral, well worth a visit. The stain glass is some of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

Words can't do this justice! Stunning in every respect. Just wish we had more time to stay in there, but will have to research it on line, & maybe return next trip. We're not particcu;larly religious, but lit some candles & had some thoughts of...More
