Not the largest church in France but very pretty. Free to enter. Some chapels obviously renovated and others in poor repair. Looks like some war damage as not much stained glass

Lovely town to visit for a leg stretch on our way back to Calais. The Cathedral dominated the area and is well worth popping in to see the spectacular stained glass windows.

The Cathedral of Saint-Omer is a splendid structure which has benefitted from much careful restoration work in recent years. It has a splendid organ, has an invitingly warm atmosphere, and possesses numerous interesting historical artefacts. Although it is very close to the main town centre,...More

Nice little town only a short drive from Calais. Be careful of the strange hours for the parking charges. You pay for a few hours in the morning, then it is free for a few hours and then you pay again for a few in...More

We stayed at the Ibis hotel in the centre and walked to the cathedral. It is impressive and appears to be having a lot of restoration work. The stained glass windows were amazing. It was interesting.

We popped in as we were driving by and were so glad we did. The outside does not hint at what it inside. Intricate carvings , statues and lovely paintings. The way the altar was lit was just stunning as was the stained glass. In...More

By far one of the nicest cathedrals. The art and sculpture are amazing. What a beautiful place to pray, chill out , enjoy a bit of the past.
