The palace of cmunications is just cleaned and reformed to host inside the city hall of Madrid. Nice white colour and different building, very madrilenian. The square is awesome and is very clean, the fountain is wonderfull and the surroundings great. Excellent spot of madrid.

A stunningly beautiful building, it just jumps out at you as you turn the corner, it should make you go wow instead of EH? A large banner at the front of the building spoils the view.

Another amazing turn of the century building on the walk about in madrid. The palacio de cibeles is both wonderful from the front, and also has a beautiful covered atrium which can be walked through from side to side.

CebtroCentro Cibeles although undergoing extensive refurbishment is still one mighty impressive building. Unfortunately when I was there the magnificent post office building was partially undercover due to renovations. However the beautiful fountain in the middle of the roundabout was in full view.

Behind the Plaza de la Cibeles is CentroCentro which is housed within what used to be the Palacio de Cibeles. This cultural centre and City Hall may be under renovation which means the free viewing platform is currently shut but is still well worth a...More

Inside, there are different exhibitions, including one on the history/design of the building, plus a number of others on different themes. In the lobby, there are many leaflets on events/exhibitions/cultural programmes useful both to locals...More

Sadly we didn't have time to explore the exhibitions but we did go to the observation deck for the views. I wish we would have had more time to spend exploring. If you want some great panoramic pictures, this is the place to go.

This place has a fascinating history as the city's central post office and, later, as a telecommunications hub. Today it's a museum with excellent exhibits that showcase the creativity and local culture of Madrid. The interior architecture is also stunning. It's easily overlooked, but well...More
