We love going down here on a Sunday morning and just walk along the trail. great people watching and beautiful park. Its is doing much better since the storm damaged it so badly.

Quite difficult to get when walking from Downtown. The Heritage Society Museum area was good with the historical buildings. The Bayou was brown and strewn with litter. Not conducive to a pleasant walk. Hermann park is far superior.

The gardens are nice. Walk along the river too. See the police memorial and wander around. There's some cool spots to discover.

We only had a few hours in Houston so renting bikes and riding through this park was a great way to see the city and surrounding area while enjoying the park and sunshine. There are bike stations located all over the park, making it easy...More

Great view of Houston CBD from the park. Got here on a Saturday afternoon, guess more people than usual, still get parking spot and had a nice walk along the park.

Still in search of some calm and tranquillity in urban Houston - this park isn’t perfect but I found it well worth a visit. A big plus is that it separates bike paths from foot paths, so walkers aren’t in danger of being run over...More

As a marathon runner, I need somewhere that allows me to cover 8 to 18 miles wherever I go. I once supposed that Houston—a city nearly as devoted to the automobile as LA—would hardly provide what I need. I was wrong. Houston in fact holds...More

Kim. There are a number of bike rental and drop off stations in the downtown area. You pay for bikes at a rack, and don't have to drop them off at the same rack! Since we live here, and prefer walking instead of cycling, we... More

Lots of parking space. It's not so large so you can park at any of them. Also, call the Park staff and they can give you more details.
