I went solo to the zoo, on Sunday. It is very nice, with a lot of space and trees. It has a lot of bird species, some very interesting. However, it has one volture, and that's it from eagles and voltures. It has flamingos, but...More

Been ten years since last visit. What a wonderful surprise. Upgrades, new additions. Not quite BUSCH GARDENS but a lot closer and just as enjoyable. Definitely worth the price of admission. Buy a season pass - you will be back!

Loved this zoo. Couldnt understand why it was so quiet even though it was only the beginning of September? This meant the little kiosks etc were all closed. Enjoyed the animals, especially the various primates and the bugs :) Well worth a visit as it...More

Check out the zoo nights if you’re not a fan of the heat. Free zoo talks and mist fans to keep it cool in Texas heat. Great food options. Can bring a picnic if you want. Perfect for all ages!! Train and paddle boats available.

I live in the DFW area and went to the Houston Zoo with family that lives in Houston. I don’t know what FOTAZ is. I wish I could help but I don’t want to tell you something that may not be correct. Sorry!

I believe there is a deep discount, but not for free. I recommend calling the zoo directly at (713) 533-6500.
