About
The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The team was founded in 2003 and has finished first among all Double-A franchises in attendance in each of the last 12 seasons (2005-2016). In August 2014, the RoughRiders were purchased by an ownership group led by Chuck Greenberg and Scott Sonju. The new ownership group, together with the city of Frisco, has spearheaded numerous major franchise improvements over the past two seasons, investing more than $7 million in a wide array of facility upgrades and improvements, including a new state-of-the-art HD video board, sound system, Bull Moose Saloon, InTouch Grille, Riders Outpost Team Store, and the newest and biggest creation, the 174-foot Choctaw Lazy River. The upgrades made prior to the 2015 season earned the Riders and the City of Frisco "Best Ballpark Renovation" of 2015 by Ballpark Digest. The same publication also honored the Choctaw Lazy River as the best ballpark improvement over $1 million for the 2016 season. More than 140 former RoughRiders players have gone on to play Major League Baseball, including All-Stars Chris Davis, Adrian Gonzalez, Ian Kinsler, and Nelson Cruz, as well as current Rangers stars Elvis Andrus, Rougned Odor, and Nomar Mazara.

Family Fun
May 2019
If you want your family to enjoy making a memory, a Rough Rider game will do just that! Clean, easy parking, fun, safe.... If you live in Frisco, even better. I love Ranger games, but a 10 minute drive to watch the Rough Riders plus the family atmosphere goes a long way for me too. Try it!

Inexpensive but great professional baseball experience
Aug 2019
Frisco RoughRiders has everything you would expect from a Major League Baseball team except the price. The food is tasty and not overpriced. The seats are so close to the field you get the real feel of baseball. I even caught a foul ball with my RoughRiders cap when it bounced in front of me. It’s a great family experience: fun for all ages. We get to know the young players and then watch them improve and move up to the Rangers. And when a Ranger ball player gets injured, they come to the RoughRiders park to rehab. We’ve had season tickets for many years.

Great time!

We had a lovely time at this ballpark which was made even better by the fact they had a freaking pool in right field along with $1 beers!! You can't beat that at all. The venue was very clean and the staff was welcoming. The infinity pool looking over the field was amazing. I really wish I had a picture!!

Beautiful ballpark - great family fun!

This is one of the nicest ballparks - every seat is close to the action, lots of leg room in the seats, lots for the kids to do if they get bored with the game. Reasonable prices for food and drinks. Love the unique feature of the lazy river in the outfield - perfect for a hot night!

In town on business and happened across this wonderful baseball stadium! Plenty of food/beverage choices and an immaculate stadium with friendly staff. Whether you're a fan of the game or not, this is a great way to spend an evening!

Fun outing with the Kidfis

Had a great at at the Rough Riders game. I appreciated the family friendly environment. The kids got to color jersey giveaways and also got bobble heads. The playground was a hit and the fireworks rocked.

Best minor league park
Jun 2019 • Family
Been to 15 or so minor league parks. This one is the best experience all around. Staff is great, place is well kept and clean, excellent sound and video equipment, great views of the field from everywhere. Texas league baseball at its best.

Hamburgers and chicken sandwiches could be better.

I’d recommend.

been to many minor league parks and this one ranks pretty low
Jun 2019 • Couples
Seems like they are only expecting locals as there is poor signage for both the park and the parking. Public parking is a parking garage a pretty good distance away and costs ten dollars -AR travelers parking is close and costs $3.00 for comparison. The seats were just past the dugout directly in front -the rail of the dugout completely blocked the view of home plate. Luckily attendance was down so we just re located --also if the stadium had been shifted about ten degrees the upper structure would have blocked the sun -it was after eight before the sun was low enough for the lower stands to block the sun enough to watch home plate -there is little breeze so it was sweltering at first pitch _night game,

Very nice ballpark

Our kids were disappointed that you need to get tickets early if you are interested in watching the game from the lazy river, but the park was very nice.
