This unusual memorial seems underwhelming until you read the plaque that explains the reason for the style.

It really moved my husband being here, it is always nice to go to locations with meaning to those you love.

Because it is so close to where Kennedy was shot, I expected something more than 4 concrete walls and nothing else. Maybe I just don’t get it.

The John F Kennedy Memorial conveys simplicity and grandeur. Allow your mind to analyze and perceive the absence of everything, but the presence of so much! Totally recommended!

Expected much more here given the significance in history this event had, almost passed the site without knowing and then very little information on site to tell the story of the fateful day.

Basically a monument to JFK near where he was shot. I like monuments but this one was just ok. Worth a visit if you are in Dallas just to say you were here.

A sobering place to visit and reflect on the assassination and how it changed the course of peoples life's. There is a fountain, some plaques with a little information. The concrete monument is supposed to represent an open casket. It is not that attractive, but...More

This plaza is about 2 blocks from the 6th floor building. Building is moderistic; memorial is simple and understated. I wished they had included engravings on inside panels with some of this speeches or quotes.

This is a nice memorial and was very quiet when we went. The isn't much written about JFK at the memorial and it was a quick visit. It is appropriate for all ages.

Yep I went to the JFK Memorial Plaza while waiting for my tour bus to arrive. If you know the area so well then you know the tour company. To my family and myself the JFK Memorial seamed unfinished. And as you stated it is... More

I honestly don't know where the nearest one will be, but considering the size of this city, you'll be able to find one.
