Located in the Old Town Square of Columbus, TX is the Confederate Memorial Museum. The structure stands 2 to 3 stories high. It was locked on the weekend. The visitor center across the street wasn't open either which could have allowed access to the museum....More

We stopped in the Chamber of Commerce to get information on the area and what we should see. Great staff and very helpful, we were told that the museum would be opened the next day and we were welcome to stop in and see it....More

This unique civil war museum is a tribute to veterans of all wars, but is open by appointment only. Contact the Chamber of Commerce at (979) 732-8385 to schedule your visit.

Tucked away for sure and you need an appointment to get it. If in the area worth the time and effort for a short visit. Many better museums for sure but this town is quaint and a pleasant place to visit.

The museum is a great place to visit, but it's usually by appointment only. Try to see this when in Columbus, Texas.

Unfortunately this was not open at the time we visited. But it's in the beautiful town square of this quaint little town. Picture Perfect!
