My wife and I go to this park a lot. At least 5-6 times a year. The scenery is beautiful and it’s fairly affordable. But the staff, is horrible. They are literally the worst people I have ever dealt with in customer service. My wife...More

Great earthen dam - one of the biggest I've ever seen. Had a very cool sit down under a shade tree. Cool breeze blowing in. Beautiful sail boats out on the lake.

The North Park has a strict "No Pedestrians" policy, which seems to be absolutely contrary to the point of a "park". Needless to say, we thanked the attendant and walked - *gasp* - back to our car. Not worth the hassle of getting there.

Beautiful beach, great for kids. Nice grassy area behind beach and flat area perfect for picnicking. Bring a chair and bring some shade. Only about 4 trees for shade. It cost about $5 for a car load of people, but well worth it.

Many of the reviews of Canyon Lake Park are confusing it with Overlook Park. Overlook is where the dam is on the southeast side of the lake. Canyon Lake Park is the little island/ peninsula with some camping sites, a marina, and the Madrone Trail....More

Don't camp here if you don't want really PRIMITIVE camping. No showers or restrooms at this place. The views are great, but not the best place on the lake for campers.
