Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We saw the Vinyl Radio concert (70’s music/cover band) here in June. What an incredible group and our favorite at the Barnhill so far! They rocked it. Enjoyed listening to the 70’s pop rock tunes - these guys were pure talent. So glad we have this local facility to bring in great entertainment! Clean, nice staff, easy ticketing, free parking.

We saw Todd Oliver the ventriloquist a couple of weekends ago with his talking dog and really enjoyed it! Various forms of entertainment kept us laughing: Irving his dog, magic tricks, birds, and a bunny showed up, and piano playing. We loved how he pulled in volunteer audience members to be part of his act. It was clean yet funny entertainment, and Todd is truly multi-talented. The Simon theatre was impressive and staff were all helpful. We're looking forward to seeing other entertainers at the Barnhill.

Our family saw the beautiful Irish Celtic singers & dancers for some Christmas entertainment and loved it! Really impressed with all of the performers - this was a SOLD OUT show. The guys were like a small scale version of Riverdance. The band & fiddle player from Dublin were great. What a treat for Brenham! It’s the first time we’ve attended an event at the Barnhill Center. It’s a beautiful venue, and there’s not a bad seat - small enough that you can see well from anywhere. Restrooms very nice & clean, concessions available at intermission. We’re looking forward to coming again!

Great renovation of an historical movie theater featuring award winning classic movies. Also featured are musical concerts and orators. Also has ballroom accommodations.

We have now been to two shows at the Simon Theatre and enjoyed both very much. The theatre is small so you can't get a bad seat.

I enjoyed a live performance with my husband late last year. Any seat in the Simon is a great seat. I only wished the bar had a faster more experienced waitstaff. It was a lengthy process. Of course if you don't have a cocktail, no worries.

A screening of "La La Land," with gourmet popcorn and wine, was a wonderful way to experience this beautifully renovated old theater.

Beautifully renovated theater, based on on-site research and photos. They show an interesting film about Brenham's beginnings on the weekends. Our host, Barry Brass, was knowledgeable and charming.

We love old theatres - especially when they have been restored. The non-profit that has redone this place has spared no expense. Definitely take the tour and ask to see everything. They have thought very carefully about a lot of amenities.
The one thing this group hasn't thought through is how this place is to be operated and how it fits in the community. Nevertheless, this is a place not to be missed.
