I stopped into Alcatraz as my husband is retired law enforcement and was interested in seeing what they had on exhibit. We were both pleasantly surprised. The exhibits spanned a huge period of time and were diverse in their representation of crime (and punishment) along...More

This was a lot of fun. Interactive technology. Need time to stop and read. Has stairs or elevator for access. We bought the scavenger hunt (cost extra) and that was fun reading and finding the facts.

Lots of interesting info, reproductions, and items. Well crafted atmosphere. Super crowded. A bit pricy.

This museum is not for young children, they wouldn't understand. Teenagers and adults would be able to understand and put into perspective as to what it is. This is not all about Alcatraz and a lot about crime in America through time. History buffs will...More

It is a museum but it has pretty cool information in their exhibits. It is basically the history of crime. It's a dream for forensics majors or something along those lines or people who just want to learn and see things that are hardly around...More

This museum is a lot of fun. There is a lot on display here. It is certainly worth the money. There are a lot of interactive displays which made things even more fun. My favorite thing was seeing the OJ chase Bronco on display.

It's not graphic or gory in the sense that it'll traumatize them. There are a few real crime photos in certain sections but because of the way the museum is laid out,it'd be easy to bypass those images. There is a laser... More

I think a young child would be very bored. It's mostly history of crime. There is a section on serial killers that is more current. But most everything else is historical in nature. And like many others have said there are... More
