OK the building is the state capital of the state of Tennessee and it is a decent capital building and historic for sure. The grounds are modest but ok. The problem is right in the center of the hall way leading to the Legislative gallery...More

Interesting history, and joy in being where history was/is made! Portraits of the Governors and Polk's tomb were highlights, as well as senate and representative chambers. A must-see for all native Tennesseans.

We visited the State Capitol at night and had no chance to go inside but it was nicely decorated for the holidays and plenty of free parking which allowed us to take a few pictures of the building.

Beautiful building that gives you good vibes when you walk in because of how much has happened in that building over the years.

We also like to check out the state capital building anytime we visit a new capital city. The Tennessee State Capital Building seemed like a bit of a let-down compared to others we have seen. It looks really cool from afar as it sits atop...More

We decided to explore the grounds of the State Capital and it was very impressive! The only downside was that some vandals had tipped over some beautiful, old planters and that was such a sin!!!

I do not recall seeing anything regarding this gentleman. If there is something, it was not in an obvious location that I could see.

Can't recall if I took any pics. Went thru security but don't remember if we had cameras with us. Sorry I can't be more definitive on an answer.
