I just finished a five day dive trip with Ohana Dive Co. and it was definitely the best diving I have ever been a part of to date. The trip consisted of a couple of shore dives off of the Florida coast near West Palm and some boat dives through Pure Vida and Emerald Charters.
I was very pleased with how Ryan Hiler of Ohana Dive Co. planned the trip with a mix of shore dives and deep boat dives for the first few days. It gave me and the other group members, who all have relatively few ocean dives under our belts, a chance to work on our buoyancy and control underwater without feeling rushed to keep up with our local Floridian dive guides or other more experienced divers. Anybody who was having trouble was helped by Ryan or one of his dive masters that accompanied us on the trip.
We were able to see many of the diverse sea creatures that Florida’s coasts have to offer and the last day was hands down the best dive I have ever personally had. The last day of diving consisted of three shark dives and we were able to see around ten bull sharks, six lemon sharks, and two massive and beautiful tiger sharks. I would highly recommend that anybody who wants go on a fun filled dive trip choose to dive along side people who have a deep respect and love for the entire ocean like the members of Ohana Dive Co.

Ohana Dive Co is the best! If you need your scuba diver certification, this is the place to be! Seeing as I'm from New York and it's mid December, I scrambled to find a place to get my Open Water Diver Certification before an upcoming trip. Forget Florida or some tropical island, and head to Nashville instead! From start to finish all of the Ohana staff were absolutely outstanding, from the last minute emails before my trip down, to answering all my questions and helping me every step along the way. Craig was a great instructor in the pool, and very patient with me and adapted different methods as I struggled with basic skills. Sarah was a phenomenal open water instructor, helping boost my confidence and improve further in those skills. The store owner, Ryan, was very helpful too! The entire staff at the shop is very warm and welcoming, they truly are a family as the name implies. The other divers I met throughout my stay were also very friendly, they have such a great scuba community! The staff was also very accommodating with the fact that I traveled all the way from New York to train with them and I received a lot of helpful and inciteful individualized attention. I have nothing but great things to say about Ohana! I laughed the entire weekend and by the end was calm and confident in the water- what more could you ask for?! Cannot wait to link up with this group again! Go Ohana Dive Co!

I was in town for business and took a detour to visit the dive shop. Ryan is very pleasant and professional. He was able to provide me with the camera I have been wanting. He assisted me in getting all the accessories to get me on my way to great photos! He took the time to go over the camera and it’s functions.
I highly recommend this dive shop for any of your diving needs and some fun dive trips as well!

Classes
I went into Ohana over a year ago to buy my first set of gear and start my path towards becoming an instructor and haven't left. I have taken multiple classes starting with Rescue and most recently my Padi Instructor Development Course both taught by the Owner Ryan Hiler. My 8 year old daughter also did a Padi Bubble maker class with Sarah Rich (also known as dive shop Sarah) where she was able to get to experience the fun of breathing underwater. Where I feel Ohana excels is there flexibility with a persons schedule. If there is a course that you want to take they will find an instructor and location to teach it that fits your schedule even if you are the only student.
Trips
Ohana also has great dive trips. They do several manatee trips in the winter in Crystal River Florida that I highly recommend. I have also had the opportunity to dive Valhalla missile silo in Midland Texas with them. Most recently I was able to join them on a Blackbeard Live aboard trip in the Bahamas where we were able to dive with sharks sea turtles and octopus to name a few. Every trip I have done with Ohana was like a great family vacation. I look forward to seeing where they take me next.
The main thing I find that sets Ohana apart is the way they treat every customer like they are family. I would trust every one of their instructors to teach my family and most of them have.
If you are looking for a dive shop with small classes and experienced instructors to introduce you to or expand your scuba diving experience, or a group of people to take you diving in new exciting locations look no further.

Ohana Dive Shop had a dive trip to the Bahamas on a liveaboard and I knew I had to go! Sara reached out to me and made sure I had everything I needed for the trip! Only having to pay for the trip, Ohana coordinated the flights, transportation, and hotels making it a much-needed stress-free vacation. Blackbeard's Cruises was an amazing experience with an amazing crew and multiple incredible shark dives. I even got 4 new certifications with Sara!

I had a fantastic time diving with Ohana on their trip to the Bonne Terre mine. This group was fun to dive with and I felt safe testing my limits diving with Ohana. I definitely recommend Ohana for new and experienced divers. Can't wait for the next trip!!

I walked into Ohana Dive Co. to rent a tank to work on a friend's pool, and they mentioned that they had a refresher course going on at Martha's Quarry that weekend. (I am certified as a rescue diver, but had not been in the water for quite a few years.)
I did two dives with them and knocked some rust off of old skills.
I enjoyed diving with them so much that I went to their Zombie Apocalypse Diver event a few weeks later and had a great time!
I plan on diving with them much more, and working on my Divemaster certification with them.
The owners and staff are good, honest, friendly people and very professional.
I highly recommend Ohana Dive Co.!

Giving a huge shout out to Brad, Ryan, and Ken for giving me the most amazing experience. Any anxieties I had were taken away because the instructors made me feel safe and comfortable. I highly recommend diving with Ohana. It is so much fun!!!

I received my open water certification with Ohana and they are absolutely wonderful people. Sarah was my instructor and she was fabulous, open to all questions, made you feel welcome and made the experience extraordinary and well worth it. This company went above and beyond for me because I was getting my certification last minute and they made sure that I had everything I needed for my trip!! Im from Huntsville, AL and I’m more than willing to make the drive to learn from their experienced divers. 100% recommend Ohana Dive Co. for all your diving needs! And I will definitely be returning to my Ohana family when I get back from Ecuador!!!

The shop and staff are excellent. After completing two certifications with the instructor, Sarah, I have nothing but great things to say about her, the staff, and their operations. I'll continue to advance my diving skills through the expert instructions provided by Ohana Dive Co. I highly recommend checking them out!
