Historically significant place. Interesting history and a good walk along the far West Point of the bay. Take Water with you.

First time visiting Point Nepean National Park. Came on a Thursday during school holidays, it was 32 degrees, we parked near Gunner's Cottage and walked the rest of the way. Although it was hot, the walk is not too strenuous, there is shade through the...More

A place that was off-limits for so many years, we can now explore. Walk or catch the free bus right to the tip of the Mornington Peninsula. Explore the old fort and look over the water to Queenscliff. Well worth a visit.

Even though I had heard that Fort Nepean was worth a look, I wasn't quite prepared for how fabulous it was - or how much there was to see. You can catch a shuttle bus however my husband and I walked both ways and certainly...More

We left the car at gunners cottage and walked to the fort exploring some of the many tracks through the bush rather than the road... Spectacular scenery of the coast on the walk tracks are well marked and in good condition.. The fort itself was...More

The scenery is excellent on both a good and bad day and there is significant history in the old fort which could be done better. Go for the scenery.

Thoroughly enjoyed the walk to Fort Nepean. You can catch the shuttle bus but we chose to walk as there were plenty of attractions along the trail (some of which will extend the length of your walk). A great reward at the end with beautiful...More

We visited here while on a trip to the peninsula. We decided to walk to the fort rather than taking the bus and enjoyed the wall. It's fair to say it's not the most interesting walk in the world but still way better than zipping...More
