We were in the area for a weekend away visiting wineries and were really surprised to find this amazing gold mining heritage site. The mine is fascinating and a visit to the cemetery gives visitors a glimpse of the hardships these workers and their families...More

how is this place not more well known? probablya good thing because this spot is a treasure trove of photo ops. amazing spot. do research before visit to get most out of visit. features lovely fontainbleu dam and a moving historic cemetery among many highlights
