Nice walk in either direction from the pier. Go at low tide so you can go further to the right of the pier. We didn’t swim but there were a few out there.

Walked alon Flinders beach last week and enjoyed the fresh air. Beach was rather dirty as the tide had brought in a lot of seaweed. Very nice picnic ground with ample parking and toilets.

Parking is next to the beach. It is a sand and pebble mix beach and at the time of our visit there was alot of seaweed.

One of the best year round no restrictions leash free dog beaches on the Mornington Peninsula. Low tide reveals rock pools in which your curious four legged friends can chase whitebait and you can fossick for crabs.

apart from ocean beach further down golf links road there are two beaches near pier called kennan cove and dodds creek (entry on cove lane). both areas are good areas for kids (if supervised).
