Nice to visit for a few photos but the best part was walking down the walkways to see the bluffs, island and coastline. It was nice in the evening but would be even better with morning light. Definitely worth a stop.

I have never been to a light house overseas, so do not have a lot of references, but as far as they go, this is on top of a hill, visited by bus loads of tourists and situated on a fabulous coastline.. There is a...More

Stunning lighthouse which we were able to see from way down the Great Ocean Road too!! Unfortunately the lighthouse was closed when we got there so we were unable to see inside.

The guided tour is excellent, explaining the history, the shipwrecks and how the light worked over the various stages of it's existence.

What an amazing place! It was fantastic to see the original split point lighthouse where the famous Round the Twist was filmed. We had an excellent tour of the historic landmark and heard all the history and stories of building and maintaining the tower.More

This is a beautiful pitstop along the great ocean road. The lighthouse is nicely maintained and offers two nice viewing platforms with great views onto the coastline. The beach below with the inlet is also nice to visit.

Hi KM T. The lighthouse is operating as a navigational aid to ships so all of the equipment is functioning. Thus a guide comes with you to the top. A guided tour lets you know about the history of the lighthouse, how it... More

Thanks for your posts. It is really important to check the parking signs. To access the lighthouse, travel up Lighthouse Road and park for free on the left. The parking sign - S with a line through it- means No Standing... More
