Difficult to find parking. Then discovered after walking up that there is a car park at the castle / museum. After that, the lady in reception was really very friendly. Great value and really enjoyable. Spent about an hour here and that’s probably the maximum....More

Having parked the car and walked up the steep hill to the castle we were disappointed to find the museum closed and the remains of the castle very sparse. From driving into Haverfordwest the castle closed very impressive, however there was little to see. The...More

The castle dominates the town. Approach is via some tight roads but there is ample parking. The first impression is that it’s all a bit 1960’s utilitarian but wander the grounds and you’re rewarded by some great views. There’s a small museum that has plenty...More

Pity the town council have neglected this historically important castle which, if they would spend some money on it would surely improve the tourism and therefore pay for itself. It overlooks the town so everyone knows it's there but being ignored like this is criminal....More

So glad we made the effort to visit this castle/museum. Full of interesting information from Nelson's visit to nearby Foley House to Cromwell's letters and a stone commemorating the visit of Eleanor and her husband Edward I (Longshanks) and many more. A big thank you...More

Not much to see but beautiful grounds and very friendly staff. Difficult parking but the small museum has a few interesting facts. Shame for the rubbish but worth it since it was free.

Medieval, long history, can see how it shaped the town. Love sitting outside enjoying the views and atmosphere.

There's not a great deal of Haverfordwest's castle remaining, just two strongly impressive walls standing at right angles. It's free to enter, and looks to have been used by kids for parties, who could blame them.
