This is one of the oldest houses in North Wales. Over the years its ownership has passed through several families who have all left their mark on the house by making structural alterations. The house is deceptively large. The rooms are furnished to reflect different...More

Glorious summer evening with open air Shakespeare. Excellent acting from Illyria in The Merchant of Venice. Well worth looking out for next year.

We had an excellent visit as part of my girlfriends birthday celebrations. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were well appointed and loads of information about the contents. The gardens out the back were a pleasant surprise. Well worth a visit.

Nice hidden gem, shame it isn't open more often. Great for families for little ones to learn about history.

We stayed in Ruthin overnight and we decided to give this attraction a try after walking past it several times. It is very deceiving from the outside because when you get inside it's much bigger than expected and there's so much history to see.

Each room is more interesting than the last with plenty of historical artefacts and information. The garden has been landscaped and provides a restful, relaxing space after your tour inside. We particularly enjoyed watching the bats on the webcam.
