We took our family to see Ruthin Gaol this afternoon (Tuesday, 17.07.2012) only to discover that it was shut. Apparently it's only open from Wed-Sat even in mid-July - very disappointing! Our little grandson was so looking forward to seeing inside a gaol. Come on...More

when we visited it was open doors day so free to get in, but normally you have to pay £3.50 for adults. you start at the bottom level of the prison, you have access to all the cells with lots of stuff for kids do...More
