This is a castle which was never actually finished but still has plenty to see. You can walk round the walls and access internal areas. There is a short but informative introductory film and small exhibits as you go round.

Visited towards the end of a lovely sunny autumn day. Great views from the ramparts and plenty of corridors and rooms to explore within the walls. Would be a great place to come with young children - plenty of scope for hide and seek!

Was ok, something to do. Wouldn’t rush back. Just walking around ruins. The park next door is more enjoyable.

It is a shame that so many castles are being eroded even further, but at least they are doing their best to preserve this one. I hadn't realised how little my knowledge of Welsh history was until visiting here. Some good information boards.
