I have been to the Beaumaris Pier twice with my family. We enjoyed crabbing. The children love it and so do the adults. There can be a bit of a competition going on between families sometimes. But all is good spirit. You can catch a...More

This is a short pier by Victorian pier standards that has had a modern add-on pontoon at the end to facilitate easy landing for pleasure boats . This pier was first built in 1846. It has gone into decline many times since and been rescued...More

Beaumaris pier is nothing special, but always worth a walk to the end. We were also treated to seeing a lifeboat launch, as they had a callout as soon as we arrived.

It’s lovely to walk along Beaumaris Pier in the summer and see all the little children (and competitive dads!) with their crab lines, leaning over to see what they’ve caught. There are usually buckets full of assorted crabs on both sides of the pier and...More

We always come here for crab fishing! Always fun and kills a couple of hours! Can get some fish for crabbing at the lifeboat station or the butchers near the spar. Always good fun and always get a catch!

Always have a walk on the pier when I'm in the town. Nice views & photography opportunities. Loads of kids crabbing - I wonder how many dozen times some have been caught!

How does one review a pier?! There are lovely views across the Straits. There's shelter at the end in which one can eat fish and chips. And it's great for crabbing. Romantic at night - light at the end of the pier is all rather...More

As one of the previous answers mentioned, I think Bangor Pier would be a better option. There is so much crabbing going on that maybe fish would be frightened off.
