Car parking is ridiculously cheap! Criccieth beach is the most stunning beach I have visited in several years. A perfect location for rockpooling when the tide is out. We enjoyed some delicious ice cream purchased from a gentleman with a cart on the seafront, visited...More

Not something I’m prone to dashing a review of off, but on a recent visit to lovely Criccieth, North Wales, the whole family enjoyed amazing home made gelato 🍨 from a little van on the prom by the beach. We each had a different flavour....More

We very much enjoyed a walk right along the seafront and then across the beach - drive onto the beach on the other side from Porthmadog

This is a popular little town and beach, and our three generational group enjoyed it. It's not mile upon mile of mile of golden sand, and it's not ideal for ball games, but the sea is close at hand, and there's plenty of rocks to...More

The beach, at least as far south as Barmouth, is just amazing. Beautiful wide sandy beaches with mild looking descents of the water level. I would imagine the water temp is quite "brisk" regardless of the day. Beaches all look clean and just amazing. It...More

Fabulous beach - mixed with rocks and sand but very clean with easy access to sea and safe bathing. Plenty of parking nearby with easy access to facilities, shops and cafes.

Me and Hubby are regular visitors to Criccieth. On Tuesday (whilst eating an ice-cream), we strolled along the Esplanade which runs adjacent to this section of the beach which is on the eastern side of the castle. The beach itself is very shingly. It was...More

I didn't see any signs saying they couldn't go on the beach. Also there were dogs there when I was there.
