We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is not really a tourist attraction. It is an expensive boutique. Although it is quite cramped inside, it does have a fitting room at the back.

You get THAT phone call - telling you your mother is seriously ill - you fling yourself in a car and drive from Oxfordshire to North Wales - you spend days and days watching her die - you run out of clothes, so raid the local charity shops, and while wandering along Criccieth High street you spot a hand crafted Wacky Bird Box with "Tit Alley" on it in a collectibles Shop with a note on the door - We are shut please go to Raindrops on Roses to purchase. It was such a wretched horrific week, my now husband was at home & my brother & I were watching our mother die, but this silly bird box was the only thing that week that made me stop crying. So I went to Raindrops on Roses & met Marylin to buy a silly bird box for my then fiancée from a neighbours shop, because it made me smile. I had done the emergency knickers, leggings, T shirt shop + PJ's for my mother in hospital, Clothes for my father in emergency care, at Tesco's in Bangor near the hospital. But I have been back to Raindrops on Roses many times since then while up in North Wales sorting out family affairs. The first thing I get is a hug and a kiss. followed up by "How are you, how are you managing, how's Dad" - All that from what was a complete stranger. I used to look through the rails & pick out stuff I thought would suit me in Size 18 plus because that's what I thought I was - Marylin knew different - she saw how much weight I had lost during my mother's passing & the difficult period over the next year or so .....said a lot of "No" to stuff I picked out as "ME" - so now I just shut up, go in for a hug & ask her what I need to buy - She NEVER oversells, brutally honest to the point of losing a sale when it is not right for me with alternative suggestions if available, she has amazing taste, fabulous eco friendly products. I have now bought many dresses from her over the last 2 years, worn on my honeymoon, worn at my step-daughter's wedding week in Cyprus, worn at a Celebrity Garden Party at the late Robin Gibb's Home with my "Hello Hello fab friend Vicky Michelle". My step Daughters love the 2 Gazing Hare's I bought from Raindrops on Roses & the lovely gift wrapping and personal poems. Life has changed more than a bit in the last 2 years - From Managing Director to Carer for a 91 yr old Father - ONE constant throughout this stressing time that was in full shown to me as an infrequent customer was the completely genuine instant recognition - more worried about me than selling me something - I don't even look through the rails anymore - Go in - get a hug & ask her to pick something that I would like - Last weeks result - gorgeous warm shortish fleece dress that I can just shove over my head with boots or leggings to go and look after Dad + the softest ever dress made out of bark for our wedding anniversary on the beach in Nevis + a name for a trusted local Criccieth decorator. Marylin exceeds any known boundaries for customer service. Such style, taste, empathy & awe inspiring in giving me confidence at nearly 60 for how I should look or could look - Biased now but after 2 years of buying from this wonderful lady - love her hugs, honesty and for making me feel better about how I look and most of all how I feel about ME....
