Really enjoyed this do it yourself visit. They give you a hard hat and torch and you just get on with it. Lots of information cards around and gives you a good idea of the working conditions, dangerous, damp and cramped. Don't think they would pass...More

You self tour with a hard hat and a torch. They happy to let dogs in. It’s a little light in there and quite cavernous we didn’t find it claustrophobic. The information boards were clear and imparted good clear information. It’s not a long trip,...More

We enjoyed this as a family for the first time after visiting a lot of tourist mines which have proper guided tours - this was very refreshing doing the tour at your own pace and the children enjoyed having their own torches exploring! Gave a...More

Called in on the spur of the moment while passing by and pleasantly surprised. The shop at the entrance has nice gifts, a friendly lady issuing tickets, hard hats and torches. The caverns themselves are well presented, cover a large area and are reasonably easy...More

A really interesting set of mines. Fantastic price and the fact it's a self-tour means you can explore the mines at your own leisure. Good gift shop with knowledgeable staff on hand to answer any questions. The view from the carpark is incredible too.

Excellent visit - warm welcome, great advice for a disabled visitor, and a good shop and cafe. Good to be left to explore without being bothered

Great for the kids to explore. They get a hard hat and a torch and you can look round at your leisure as it's self guided. Kids really loved it and enjoyed the gift shop too.

This is an excellent stop off for an hour and it could be combined with a trip to Harlech castle which is only 2 miles away. You get given a torch and hard hat and off you go. The torch is only needed for reading...More

The caverns are very large so no matter how tall you can stand up. The passageways between caverns are considerably smaller but short in length so you don't have to crouch for very long.
