Interesting place worth visiting. Information on plaques throughout. Clean and fairly safe to walk around in suitable footwear. Different stair cases which are connected leading to the top. Overlooks the sea which was once at the foot of the castle. Souvenir and coffee shop on...More

Great castle with excellent views all round the surrounding area. Not a place to visit if you dont like heights so stay firmly on the ground level as the upper walls dont have safety rails

A great example of a castle from the 1200s. Some good information placed around the site to help bring the place to life. Make sure you’ve brought your walking legs, as lots of steps!

This is arguably the best, and most spectacular, of Edward 1’s string of castles which encircled North Wales. It sits high on the cliffs above Harlech and, when it was built in the late 13th Century, it would have been a wonderful example of shock...More

We visited on a relatively busy weekend. This Castle has a very nice visitor center with a short film about the Castle, guided tours, and clean restrooms. While the Castle is a ruin, it is very easy to see and understand the space, rooms and...More

A good way to spend a couple of hours. Worth doing all the parts giving a real insight into what it must have been to be based there in the past. Many steps so a good work out. A well stocked shop and a good...More

While officially dogs are welcome, my recollection is that this doesn't apply to all parts (for safety reasons). Your dog needs to be kept on a leash at all times.
