We loved this place and visited twice. Beale Street needs a few more places like this. Great for a couple of drinks and a nosey around the shop with loads of quirky gifts and friendly staff. Well worth visiting.

Old store full of history & interesting things to purchase. Old fashioned soda bar in the store. Best pecan ice cream I've ever had. The shakes looked awesome but never got back to try one.

On one hand, an old time drug store but on the other hand, it's a constant in Beale Street's history. While the street has moved on with the times, this store still retains a semblance of the past. Have been a few times over the...More

A great little store with lots of merchandise and the old time soda fountain area. Why not stop in for a cherry phosphate!

The place sells a lot of interesting souvenirs and tchotchkes. It's kind of a step into the past, and it's wonderfully kitchy in places, especially the Hoodoo portion. By the way, if you're into Wicca or Eastern stuff, the top floor will appeal to you....More

I have never been to this store or any of it’s sister stores so it was a treat for me. I am old enough that I can still remember the 5 and 10 stores in Canada when I was growing up, this store instantly placed...More

It’s a variety / junk store with a cool, real and old fashioned soda bar. Get a sampler for $6 and try a variety of sodas. Egg creams are good as are the phosphates. The experience of something this old school is worth it. If...More

I love general stores and mercantiles so A. Schwab was clearly going to be a stop for me while in Memphis. I bought t-shirts for my wife and daughter. There are many shirts to choose from. Lots of old school candy and toys that haven't...More
