Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We made a stop for 30 minutes or so, after a drive up from England. We visited early evening, after a rain show, so the views were spectacular. There's a small fee for parking, and toilet facilities. You could argue any parking pays alongside Loch Lomond provide stunning views, and this is another. The pyramid is a great addition though.

Not worth a special trip but ok for a short stop if you're driving that way along a windy, narrow stretch of the A82. Plenty of parking spaces. Clean toilet facilities. Good view of Loch Lomond on a clear day but the binoculars on the underwhelming structure don't work and the cafe is closed [for sale].Half an hour stop more than adequate.

This pyramid was constructed in this place solely for the view - you can see all the lake and the landscape behind it from the stairs or the ground right in front of it. Great pictures guaranteed!
There is a parking lot very close to it, so it is easily acessed.

Absolutely stunning. Very unassuming as you approach the wooden structure as the wow is at the front . We could have sat there hours just enjoying the peace and the incredible views. We were lucky as there was hard anyone about , not sure the experience would be the same at high tourist season ,

If it wasn’t for the coaches dropping off/pick up for the ferry, you could easily think this was closed.

Stopped here on route to Fort William, dissapointed that cafe was not open but good clean toilets. Climbed the pyramid for great views of Loch Lomond.

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is always a beautiful place but the new Scenics Routes Initiative has been working on placing some beautiful structures around to enhance the experience of the park. And Ceann Mor is no exception, it's visible from he road so you can't miss it, and on a nice day at lifts you up to get a great view over the lochs and beyond to the mountains.
One point I will say is that the telescope is pretty pointless, its set to focus on the little island in the middle of the loch. you'd be lucky to catch some wildlife in 5 minutes you get to use it...
Overall, it's a great pavilion that stands proud in the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.

This is one of four “architectural installations” which have been created in the National Park to focus attention on scenic routes through the landscape. It translates from Gaelic as “large headland”.
It’s somewhat controversial since detractors may consider it a blot on that very same landscape which spoils the view. These are not sentiments I agree with since I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have such a focus for visitors to draw their attention to the obvious in a straightforward manner. There’s a decent sized car park at the visitor centre and the path is only a very short walk to get to the pyramid shaped wooden structure. There’s a café on the site, with easy access to boat tours on the loch…and nice views.
Those who want to take in the views from unspoilt viewpoints will perhaps struggle to find one quite so convenient and in any case are more likely to be climbing a hill or hiking up a valley somewhere to do so - I like that myself! For those with less time, typical of many foreign visitors, energy or ability, this is ideal.
The structure was only built in 2015 and it’s expected the wood will fade with age to blend in more with the landscape however at 8 metres high even in it’s present, pristine condition, it’s a bit of a drop in the ocean. As you approach from the back the view is framed in the tunnel which you then pass through to access stairs if you wish to get a slightly more elevated position. There are binoculars at the top of the pyramid if you haven’t brought your own (coin operated).
There is the same viewpoint if you walk towards the shoreline although that was a bit boggy at the time of my visit. The path in the surrounding area does take you to the shoreline and is worth a stroll to stretch the legs for a short while.
I didn’t try the café - had a snack I’d brought instead on a bench with a view - however there are separate toilets also at the site which were well-maintained and clean in my experience.

Parking was cheap, the walk was easy with fantastic views! My wife and I loved exploring this area. The sign about the power station was quite interesting as well.
