A small but charming aquarium making a big splash as Europe's first catch and release aquarium. Our animals are brought in to us by local fishermen, divers and families and are returned to the sea every couple of weeks, so you can guarantee that no...more

I’ve never been to a catch and release aquarium before. Small but very enjoyable. Loved watching the kids handling the scallops and being squirted. A lovely place

Having never been to a 'catch and release' aquarium, we loved the concept. Learned a lot about the waters around Mull and its residents. It was an added plus that many of the displays around the tanks were done by local school children - younger...More

Despite the aquarium being small it was full of interesting facts. There was a handling session in which we could hold starfish, crabs and be squirted by scallops. The aquarium is the only catch and release aquarium so the creatures don’t stay long before being...More

A sustainable aquarium. They catch and release their specimens. My aquarium geeks were impressed. Very well done and worth a stop.

We really liked this as it’s a catch and release aquarium. They display wildlife they have caught locally and release it back unharmed. Professor plankton was great and captivated my nine year old with looking at wiggly small things down a microscope. Also Octopus and...More

Good concept but for 5 adults not very interesting, may be more suited for children, 20 mins in here is enough for grown-ups. Several dark dirtyish tanks with mostly non moving sea urchins, starfish, barnicles etc (better to see them in rock pools) a few...More

Although small we all enjoyed the aquarium. Love the concept that the animals are released after 4 weeks. Learnt a lot about the area

A really nice aquarium which despite being fairly small still has a good variety of local creatures. My daughter loved the touch pool session and holding the different creatures.

Ok so again one for a rainy day or if you have a free half an hour. First off it's not the biggest aquarium you'll see but it soon makes up for it if you get there at the right time. It's a little pricey...More
