The organisation before getting onto the ferry was great and despite my initial worries, was actually very easy. You are guided on and shown where to park and then you can just leave your car until it is time to return. The journey from Oban...More

A great day out from Oban to Craignure. Ferry out was larger than the ferry back, but that was because there were hundreds doing the day trip to Iona. It was a blustery rainy day - the smaller boat we'd hoped to go across on...More

We were delighted with the service provided by Caledonian MacBrayne. Regular, enjoyable crossings from Oban to Craignure at a price which we considered excellent value. Not to be missed!

Only takes 35 minutes to travel to and from the mainland one of of CalMac's Loch class vessels. Just the rights size for the journey, sturdy and reliable. Flat calm sailing into Tobermory and a rare swell going back again - MAGIC!

We have taken the Caledonian McBrayne twice to different locations from Oban. The ship is comfortable with seating options, food and drink and bathrooms.

Yes, I took the 'day trip' from Oban to Craignure...jumped on the bus to Tobermory duration about 50mins; walked along the Main Street with delightfully painted houses...some yellow, reds, blues...before the end of the street I noticed that the beach had been replenished with new...More

The best ferry is Oban to Craignure then drive across the island to Fionport. It's a lovely drive but make sure you allow plenty of time.

Main route as stated is Oban - Craignure .. .. but there is also a ferry from Lochaline to Fishnish. . and if your really adventurous a drive to Ardnamurchan to Kilchoan there is a ferry takes you right to Tobermory.
