We visited this museum on a recent trip to mull and were so impressed with the information held in it. The curators are all volunteers and work so hard to share their wide knowledge with visitors to the museum. Some of the stories were fascinating...More

A small, but fascinating museum.Geological information, early settlements through to how people lived through both world wars. So interesting.

I hope you were able to find out about your husband's ancestry. There is a great deal of ancestry information on the website mullgenealogy.co.uk Failing that please send an email to familyresearch@mullmuseum.org.uk Thanks for your review.

When waking around Tobermory we came into the museum to look around. It is free to enter but they appreciate donations. They have interesting facts about the islands geology, history and wildlife. We spent about 30 min looking around. Worth a stop!

Hi Chris C, thanks for your review. We normally open around mid-March (a little depends on when Easter falls). Much as we would like to stay open all year round we simply don't have the resources to provide this service for a relatively small number...More

Entry is free , the local curator is helpful, and the collections of memorabilia and photos are fascinating and well explained and described. I will quite happily visit the museum again on my next visit to the island.
