Lovely run to the lighthouse. Lovely cliffs and lots of nesting birds. We spotted one dolphin, and several seals, lying on the rocks. So nice to see. We saw several gannets diving constantly in the sea, amazing birds.

Spent 3 days dolphin watching here and saw quite a lot. Risso`s, bottlenose, white beaked, and Harbour Porpoise.

This was a fabulous trip! Even though it rained pretty constantly, we saw the most wonderful dolphin display. There were three of them dancing the waters just as majestically as you could ever imagine. An absolute must- go!!!

What a waste of time driving to the lighthouse. We thought it would be open for viewing but it was surrounded by a locked wire fence and dogs were inside the building barking like mad.

The lighthouse is alright... But the scenery steals the show. We sat for an hour watching the seals and gannets and cormorants live their lives.

It is about 15 minutes to drive from Stornoway, and well worth a visit especially in the evening. The owner could do some repair, seems to be urgent.

You need a car to go there, but if you have one, it's easy to find, just drive to the end of the street. It's a place with a beautiful atmosphere, a great view to mainland Scotland. Just nice. People say that sometimes one can...More

We visited in July and thought it was open to the public according to the guide book we had but found it in extremely poor condition and full of barking dogs. Evidently it is no longer open to the public but if you spot... More
