Rather disapointing. Although the museum attached to the castle was very interesting we were looking forward to seeing through the castle itself as in other castles. All we saw was the long corridor and a few large rooms empty except fora table set for dining.

The cafe is in a lovely location in the castle. Shame about the tacky seating in such a nice setting. Service is very slow.

Very beautiful castle and would be fantastic for a wedding or something. They served food and coffee but I didn’t try that - got a couple of nice pics of the castle and had a great view across the harbour.

Attended a wedding here and it was wonderful. Beautiful venue, marquee and setting looking out across the water. Delicious food and lovely staff too.

A lot to see, videos and information in this very interesting museum, please visit it to understand the Hebrides better, it is free so another reason for not missing it.

Had a great time. Had lunch in the cafe which had toys for our 3yo. Then walked around the castle and grounds. The museum is also very good giving information of the island and the locals. Dog on lead friendly grounds

The museum at Lews Castle is excellent - for people of all ages. Great exhibits and some good interactive things for children. The restaurant is lovely and great for lunch or a coffee but it can get busy.

The apartment we stayed in had a washing machine and there was detergent provided. Hope this is of some help. Kind regards.
