Excellent viewpoint. Scope to see penguin nesting colony at the right time of the year something not to be missed. I would definitely visit again.

The trip up to Sumburgh Lighthouse is breathtakingly beautiful and a very easy drive. Once you reach the lighthouse, the views from every side are gorgeous! We rented a car in Lerwick to get there and it is definitely worth the trip!

Our visit to Sumburgh Head Lighthouse was well worth the walk up hill. The views are spectacular and visitors should definitely pop in for a coffee in the lighthouse café.

There is a long and steep walk to this location but you can drop off your passengers at the top allowing only the driver to suffer a cardiac! From the cafe on sight you have stunning views out to sea

I suppose it is only 1/4 mile uphill. Possibly, if you contact the Sumburgh Head Lighthouse, they may allow you to drive up, off-load your passenger and return to the parking area.
