We thoroughly enjoyed this well preserved chambered cairn. We had to ask directions in Drumnadrochit at the visitor's information building, but it was then easy to find. Another review mentioned not climbing on the cairn, however the sign at the site indicates wearing "stout footwear...More

Free-of-charge remains from Iron Age, small but interesting, worth a visit if you are in the area, parking nearby

The cairn is outside Drumnadrochit and well sign posted. Access is via a single track road which carries on to a local hamlet so watch out for the speeding post office vehicles. There is a car park about a hundred metres from the cairn and...More

We visited here on a whim and weren’t disappointed. A really enchanting stone Cairn that dates back 4000 years. The boys enjoyed cloning through to the chamber and the whole area had a mysterious feel to it. A short trip but one we enjoyed.

This is a very historic place to visit - Ancient Cairns are top of my mums list, so we had to visit this once we learned of it's existence! It's around a 20 minute drive West of Drumnadrochit. It is down a country lane, so...More

I have a fascination with Cairns so its not hard to see why I gave a 5 star review. Easily accessible by car, quite a ways away from Loch Ness tourist area to walk. Free parking and not busy at all. I understand tour groups...More
