We stopped in to buy some postcards and ended up finding some of the best cards ever. My husband found some maps he liked really well and visiting with the check out lady was a real joy.

Good bookshops are hard to find. I was attracted in here by the top 10 lists in the window. Once inside I was glad to be there as the range of books was great. Postcards were for sale too.

This bookshop comes straight out of a postcard - it's charming and cozy and the staff couldn't be friendlier. Many books on offer about the Highlands and the lovely town itself, with many signed copies of limited edition books. Couldn't recommend enough.

This has to be one of the best bookshops I’ve had the pleasure of entering. An amazing selection of books and gifts await you inside. After spending my time browsing the book collection, I had far too many to fit in my bags for the...More

We really enjoyed coming here. The owner was very pleasant and friendly. She helped us pick out books for our grandchildren, explaining what books Scottish youngsters enjoyed. This is a wonderful example of an independent bookshop. We came for golf but but were very glad...More

I love this little gem of a bookshop. Staff are warm and friendly, great selection of books and gifts and you can even pick up a bucket and spade to take to the beach. They always go the extra mile

This book shop was just like a small version of something like Waterstones or WH Smith’s. Books at full price (which means expensive) and nothing really outstanding. It covered all the largest releases but not much else. Oh and it was a gift shop too.

In a day and age of Amazon, it is quite nice to be able to browse an independent bookshop in a lovely town like Dornoch. Good selection of Scottish writers or Scotland-related books - and the usual gifts. Staff was very friendly, that helps!
